Oswin Thatcher is an Ul’dahn businessman and opportunist who mastered the art of playing both sides. His former business, Thatcher & Co. Pharmaceuticals — a small pharmacy in Pearl Lane — was a front for Umbra’s drug distribution network. He profited well but was never truly in control. Zekito burned the pharmacy down during his investigation. Officially: a mysterious fire.
Financially ruined, he is now attempting to buy out The Silver Bazaar with Umbra’s backing and turn it into a new hub for moving their goods. Resident Kikipu is refusing to sell. Umbra’s patience is thinning. Oswin is desperate — and desperation makes him dangerous.
Appearance
Tall and broad. Slicked-back dark hair with silver streaking through it — the look of a man who still wants to be taken seriously. Hazel eyes that miss very little, despite the warm presentation. He wears fine but practical merchant attire and carries a golden signet ring bearing the Thatcher family crest — one of the few things left of the name he built.

Oswin is the ground-level thread Nim and Zek are following. Tracing his network connects to Lex’s brothels and trafficking operations. He is a stepping stone, not the destination — but a desperate one who may take riskier actions as his options narrow. He could be turned against Umbra in exchange for survival, or he could double down and become a bigger obstacle.
