Isanshiro Silverblood, known as the Silver King, is a Milletian — a being from another world — who traveled Erinn, amassed a fortune, and used it to build The Silver Kingdom for the destitute. His relationship with a Fomorian woman was the forbidden union that caused the Knights of Light to destroy everything he built. To protect his twin children, he placed memory seals on them and had them escorted to different parts of Erinn before the castle fell.

He placed memory seals on the twins to protect them, then disappeared. He later resurfaced in contact with Mewecho, who kept this secret from Zekito out of fear of his reaction. He is deeply guarded about what happened to the twins’ mother — the one subject he will not discuss.

The Silverblood name did not come from Isanshiro — his true name before he became the Silver King is unknown. The name grew from outside: references to ‘the silver-haired bloodline’ shortened over time to ‘the Silverbloods’, and eventually became the family name that Zekito and Mewecho carry. A name earned from history rather than given at birth.

History

A Milletian from another world, Isanshiro traveled Erinn for years before amassing his fortune and building The Silver Kingdom for the destitute. At some point he entered into a relationship with a Fomorian woman — a forbidden union that brought the Knights of Light down upon his kingdom. He placed memory seals on the twins and had them escorted to safety before the siege destroyed everything he had built.

The name Isanshiro Silverblood is not his original name. His true name before he became the Silver King is unknown. The surname grew from outside: references to the silver-haired bloodline became the Silverbloods collectively, eventually hardening into a family name. He did not choose it. History chose it for him.

Chapter L̵̾̔õ̵̾s̷̟̓t̶̓̓: A Bard’s Tale of Forgotten Times

A bardic verse circulating in Eorzea. Zekito has encountered it and does not know it is about him. He reads it as an interesting historical piece about someone else’s tragedy.

Long ago, in a forgotten history, lived a simple merchant.

A drifter of the world, for he had no name nor home.

A drifter to be known, for his heart of gold.

undefined

With silver hair, and silver coin, would his word carry forth.

To live and give, to make believe, oh the poor-gotten sod.

undefined

In times of strife, his name be called, oh kind Merchant of Silver.

In time of need, to raise and give, the drifter would come hither.

undefined

And thus, the lone would gain its flock, a castle to be raised.

The drifter crowned as Silver King, a feast is to be held.

undefined

Forbidden love with poisoned kisses, the twin fruits of our passion.

The gentle flower and eager watcher, celebrated for occasion.

undefined

Yet faith is steep and demons weep, a dark cloud on horizon.

When men of cloth are moving forth, to get rid of the frighten.

undefined

And thus, was history lost to ruin.

The glint of silver, painted red.

The twin breaths drifting in the wind.

There’s rumors they have fled.

The drifter is Isanshiro. The twin fruits — the gentle flower and eager watcher — are Mewecho and Zekito. The men of cloth are the Knights of Light. The frighten is Zekito’s mother. The verse does not know what happened to the twins — only that they were not found.

Plots

Isanshiro does not arrive in Hydaelyn. He resurfaced in Erinn in contact with Mewecho, who kept this secret from Zekito out of fear of his reaction. He is deeply guarded about what happened to the twins’ mother — the one subject he will not discuss. [TODO: Full backstory and role going forward.]
